When given your birthdate and sex, TimeLeft shows your life expectancy and your probability of dying within twelve months, updated every second.
All results are based on USA Social Security actuarial data for 2021 (the latest available as of April 2025). Don't take the results too seriously. They are for entertainment only. They are estimates for a large group of people your age; they are a very rough estimate of your date of death.
Your life expectancy isn't constant; as you age your risk of dying in the past is zero, so your life expectancy always moves further into the future, with a varying rate that depends on your current age.
Birth Date Set your birth date as YYYY-MM-DD (year-month-day, e.g., 1952-01-30). Use the Tab key to move among year, month and day. Press and hold either the ▲ or ▼ key to change a value quickly. Another way is to type the desired value in each position. You cannot set your birth date improbably long ago or in the future.
Sex Select your sex by clicking the Male or Female radio button.
Years shows your age now
in years.
Seconds shows your age now in
seconds.
TimeLeft assumes you were born at midnight at the beginning of your birth date.
Death Probability is the
likelihood, shown as a percentage, you will die within one year.
Years Left is the median
time until people your age will die.
Seconds Left is the
same amount of time expressed in seconds.
D-Day is the expected date
of death;
it is the date when half the people your age now will have died. It is also
known as the median age of death. Note well: If you are aged about
forty years or older, every few seconds your D-Day moves further into the
future.
